About Me

My name is Lana, I live in Hackney with my family.

As well as teaching Hatha yoga, I also work as a part-time senior administrator in a local hospital.

I first came across yoga 1997.  I had been struggling to manage stress and headaches.   I came across The British Wheel of Yoga found and attended classes near me.  Yoga has had such  a huge, positive impact on my life! It has improved my fitness levels (flexibility, stamina and strength),  increases my awareness of self and the world around me, it helps me to navigate all areas of my daily life with a calmer, kinder frame of mind.

Completing a foundation course in 2001 and the  a  500-hour, British Wheel of Yoga Teacher Training Diploma Course in October 2022 helped to deepen my knowledge and respect for the practice.  I regularly keep building on my knowledge/experience by undertaking CPD (Continuing Professional Development) attending workshops and learning from other teachers.

I am Emergency First Aid trained and  renew this every 3 years.

Other interests are Pilates, reformer and mat. Running, strength training, travel, art&crafts, particularly Art Nouveau and Deco.
